How can I keep the documents I download from CRM separate from my other downloads?

Download folder management for STB CRM

In Google Chrome, using an extension called "RegExp Download Organizer", it is possible to download specific document types such as .doc or .docx into a separate folder within the downloads folder by default. This keeps documents edited via Stb CRM clearly separated from other files in the downloads folder.

STEP 1 Download the extension for Google Chrome here
STEP 2 Use the "New rule" button to create a rule for, for example, .docx files

  1. Give the rule a "Description", e.g.: Docx files for editing from StbCRM
  2. In "MIME (Filetype)"* enter the following to identify a .docx file: application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document
  3. In "Final download URL" enter that the folder only applies to files from stb CRM: .*\.stb\.nl
  4. In "Destination path" specify the folder that will first be created within the downloads folder, for example stbCRM/

* A separate rule must be created for each file type (MIME Types). Once created, these rules can easily be shared and imported.
STEP 3

Switch off the default configured "Rules" so that only the rule or rules apply to files downloaded from Stb CRM
STEP 4

Once the RegExp Download Organizer has been configured, it can be tested by downloading a file as described in How do I edit a file; with a correct configuration, the result will be visible in the folder /downloads/stbCRM
